I'm Katie, a Washington, D.C. based photographer whose happy place is behind the lens. I've been shooting since I was 12 years old, but still very much consider myself a student of the craft. This has become especially true over the past few years as I've fallen deeper in love with film. Although you'll find my photography is a mix of digital and film, landscape and street, carefully composed and spontaneous shots, I'm continuously drawn to human stories.

I am always looking at life through a lens - whether that be my physical camera lens or the imaginary one in my mind. When I see someone else taking a photo I curiously follow their line of vision to discover what captured their attention. I love seeing how something that may seem ordinary to most, can be significant to someone else. That's what I love doing in my own photography - catching the moments between the picture perfect shots.

I offer services in headshot, portrait, family, and engagement photography. My goal this year is to get my print shop up and running, but in the meantime if you see something you like, reach out.

Life is full of remarkable human moments and I love using my camera to preserve them. My hope is that each moment captured contributes to a greater story whether that's a treasured memory, a familiar feeling, or a lifetime narrative.
